This 3 hour class is an introduction to the AssentWorks CNC Shopbot. The class will cover the creation of a basic 2D vector drawing using Vectric's PartWorks program (http://www.vectric.com/), prepare the file for use with the Shopbot and then show you how to get setup and running your file on the Shopbot.

Cost of the class is $15.00 which gets you a 1/8" milling bit and 12" x 24" sheet of hobby plywood.

If you have your own material that knocks $5 off the price.

If you have your own bits (plunge router bits work) then that knocks $10 off the price.

AssentWorks has 1/4" and 1/2" collets. So if you do bring your own bits then please make sure it's one of the two sizes mentioned above. LeeValley does sell adapters.
If you want to buy your own bits then go checkout Lukes Machinery on Notre Dame Ave (http://www.lukesmachinery.com/)

There will be more classes in the future.
